Happy 1st Birthday Elijah!!!

Ok, so i'm a little late. His birthday was 06/21/2010. I just can't believe my baby boy is 1 year old already. It was definitely an emotional day for me. I love to watch my kids grow and learn every day, but at the same time I realize that the older they get, the less they need me. That's the worse part of being a parent if there is a bad part. Kids aren't kids forever. I try my best to spend lots of time with them every day and play, and teach them. It's not that hard being as i'm a stay at home mom, but it's easy to get side tracked with other things.

So anyway, we had a very small get together at my house for Eli's birthday. It was actually the same day as fathers day! Eli was born on fathers day last year, so of course Justin didn't mind. I made cupcakes, I was cramped on time so they didn't come out just as I wanted them but they came out pretty good. They tasted great anyway LOL. I made a special VERY chocolate one for Elijah and he LOVED it!! I'll definitely post pictures at the end of this post.

After the party, we cleaned everyone up and headed to the park for some family time and to celebrate fathers day. It was a very nice day and we found this perfect spot for picture taking. Rylan, my oldest, was being a brat though and decided he didn't want any pictures taken. He would rather run around and play, but who can blame him. I'll post some of those pictures too! I may have to make it a separate post. It was overall a pretty good day! ...just still can't believe he's one. :( My mama's boy is growing up! Oh yeah he calls me mom mom now... don't know if i've mentioned it yet. He started that a couple weeks ago and it's so cute!! :)
